A history of growth Abacus Medicine was founded by Flemming Wagner and his father Dr John Wagner in 2004 to improve the access of specialty medicines in Europe. By 2019 it was the fastest growing company in this market with over 800 employees across 7 global locations and expected revenues in the range of EUR 400 – 445M. They lead the field in open market sourcing with cutting edge IT capabilities and over 3,000 marketing authorisations.
The success of Abacus Medicine in Europe led to orders from across the globe. The scene was set for a new member of the Abacus Medicine Group of Companies. In 2013 Aposave UK was incorporated, followed quickly by operations in North America, Asia and Copenhagen.
2018 saw the recruitment of Simon Estcourt as Aposave’s first Managing Director. With a wealth of experience in this field, Simon and his teams have revolutionised the access of new medicines and addressed the challenges of unmet medical need across the globe over the past 15 years. Through 2019 a series of highly experienced executives were hand-picked and joined Aposave UK in the new international commercial hub based in Farnborough, Hampshire.
